About Saturn

The Saturn brand, that was a part of Vehicle, continues to be stopped by this year's model year. Though popular in the early years, Saturn experienced from poor sales and was shuttered included in GM's personal bankruptcy reorganization.

Saturn made its debut using the S Series type of automobiles. Obtainable in sedan, coupe and wagon designs, these Saturns classified themselves using their company GM items with all of-new platforms and versatile plastic sections designed to resist denting. Furthermore, the company was granted its very own plant, with all of Saturns being built in a devoted facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee. These first Saturns were not exactly created to burn rubber these were operated by engines that offered from 85-124 horsepower. The payback, though, was these were one of the most fuel-efficient automobiles of the day, offering as much as 40 mpg (when outfitted having a stick shift).

Beginning with 2003, sales for Saturns started to dwindle which forced GM to retire several models such as the L- series and also the Ion. Latest reviews state that GM has become searching to market or perhaps shut lower Saturn to be able to alleviate the monetary burden it's under right now.

The Saturn brand loved some success in the earliest years, fueled by purchasers who have been deeply in love with its method of customer relations that incorporated "no-haggle" prices.
