Q01Is there a free plan?
Yes. BASIC is $0 a month and includes 50 a month VIN decodes, 10 a month salvage checks and 10 a month US plate lookups.
Q02Where do I pay?
On RapidAPI. RapidAPI bills your card, issues your key and tracks your usage. We never see your card.
Q03What happens past my quota?
US plate lookups beyond your plan's monthly allowance cost $0.10 each. For more decodes or salvage checks, move to PRO or ULTRA on RapidAPI.
Q04Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, on RapidAPI, where you subscribed. There is no VinFreeCheck account to manage.
Q05Do all plans include all three lookups?
Yes. Every plan covers VIN decoding, salvage checks and US plate lookups on the same key.
Q06Is the free VIN check on this site free?
Yes, with no sign-up. The free check and the other free tools are rate-limited and answer from our cache. The API is for decoding from your own code.
